AET INFORMATION TO BEVERAGE WORLD MAGAZINE TOppCure™ LABELING SYSTEM

NEW CASTLE, DE - AET Films recently introduced their TOppCure™ Labeling System, an innovative solution that provides high speed patch labeling for glass, plastic, or metal. Using traditional cut and stack labeling equipment, the system applies die cut labels produced from AET's OPP expanding range of transparent, metallized and high white TCL films. The combination of brilliant label graphics with operating speeds of 600 bpm is proving extremely interesting to beverage manufacturers - especially for 'clear-on-clear' decoration.

TOppCure™ Labeling Systems vice president, Terce Henriquez, explains the technology. "By easily modifying an existing cut & stack, cold glue labeler, and using unique solventless 100% solids adhesives at a controlled coat weight, TOppCure™ Labeling, by virtue of a specifically design application system, is both easy and very clean to operate. Through partnership with major equipment manufacturers, the simple retrofit for cut & stack labeling equipment makes conversion to TOppCure™ with its overall competitive cost, a short-term payback."

'No-label look' Achieves Unsurpassed Clarity Early trials with the system demonstrated a seldom-attained clarity for no-label-look beverage bottles, as well as the performance and reproducibility of the system in a commercial manufacturing plant. This excellent clarity, plus OPP films' natural scuff and moisture resistance brings marketers the confidence that label damage through distribution is a non-issue. Additionally, the high white and metallized OPP films operate at the same 600 bpm speeds to deliver an affordable applied label cost.

The TOppCure™ Label System is recommended for malt beverage glass bottles, plastic beer bottles, pinch-grip beverage and food bottles, squeezable containers, and glass or plastic wines and spirits bottles.
