FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUGUST 2006
SynDECOR® Selected for NEW Watertight Decorative Overlays

New Castle, Delaware: Applied Extrusion Technologies (AET) announces, SynDECOR, the application engineered substrate for decorative surfaces, has been selected for use in AquaSEAL™ overlays. AquaSEAL is a new, high performance, decorated surface lamination for use in decorative overlays where the ability to resist moisture is critical. AquaSEAL is manufactured and offered exclusively by CDM Décor Papers, Inc., Drummondville, Quebec.

Ron Rodeck, AET Business Director, said, “We are delighted to be working with CDM. They are outstanding producers of top quality decorative surfaces participating in an exceptionally broad and prestigious segment of the market.”

According to Rodeck, SynDECOR combines the benefits of paper and vinyl offering long-term stability, including resistance to water and reliable dimensional stability. In AquaSEAL, SynDECOR is combined with CDM’s unique Electron Beam cured coatings to produce a superior scratch, stain and abrasion resistant decorative surface; an attractive surface that is more durable and more stable than decorative surfaces employing less advanced technologies.

“The result of this synergistic partnership is a significant advantage for CDM customers,” Rodeck said.

SynDECOR offers superior performance in applications including kitchen and bath cabinets, RTA furniture, fixtures, closet organizers, point of purchase displays, and more.
